Welcome to this [Top ETF to Trade Momentum | QMOM | Quick Take] video 🎥, everyone! In this week’s chat, @Becca mentioned a momentum Factor ETF called QMOM, and I wanted to take a closer look at it. We already had another momentum ETF in our ETFs Google sheet, MTUM by Alpha Architect, and now we have a couple of options to compare. So, let’s dive in and see what QMOM has to offer.
First, I went to our research sheet and did a quick find for QMOM. This is the iShares momentum ETF and it has a 52-week risk reward ratio of only 1.4, with a bottom to top of about 4.8. You can access the charts and profiles for this ETF in the links provided in the Finviz URL or in our ETF database link in the Google sheet.
Looking at the chart for QMOM, we can see that it has been running high for quite some time. However, it recently had a double top and rolled over, indicating a bearish turn. As the bearish sentiment returned to the market, we saw a decline in momentum and it broke down below its moving average, heading towards a longer-term average.
