This downtrend is confirmed by the fact that NVAX has broken below its 200-day moving average. Additionally, the company is not profitable and is highly optionable.
When comparing to other biotech stocks, NVAX’s fundamentals are not looking great. They have a low profitability rating and their Altman Z-score is negative, indicating a high risk of bankruptcy or offerings. This makes NVAX a risky stock to invest in, especially for short-term trading.
One of the potential catalysts for this stock is the recent decline in vaccine revenue reported by companies like Pfizer and Moderna. This, combined with the post-election focus on healthcare and biotech, could continue to negatively impact NVAX.
