In this week’s [Make Money Trading the September Effect] video 🎥, our theme is all about making money by trading the September effect. If you’re not familiar with what the September effect is, I’ve added a link to an article from Investopedia in our Notes in the description below. The article explains that seasonally, September is known to be the weakest month of the year, and in this video, we’ll discuss some of the reasons behind that.
We’ve also included some articles that we’ve referenced in the past, discussing why September is often referred to as the “September Swoon.” This phenomenon tends to happen in the second half of September and can be seen in the downtrend of indices and markets.
For several years, we’ve talked about strategies for trading the September effect and the September Swoon. You can find our previous weekly trading game plans going back several years, which cover how to make money trading during this time and even in a bear market.
While we may not technically be in a bear market yet, we can see the downtrend in all markets and indices. Therefore, our strategies will focus on trading the downside. Keep in mind that we may see attempts at a relief rally, especially after such a strong downward week.
