Currently, the Fed rate monitoring tool on investing.com is showing a 98% probability of no change for March of 2025, with a 2% chance of a 25 basis point cut. Despite this week’s lighter CPI and PPI data, the probabilities have remained steady, indicating that they were not greatly impacted by the jobless claims data.

Moving forward, the market is expecting a total of three cuts by the end of the year, with one in June, one in September, and possibly a third in December. The CME fed watch tool also shows a high probability of no change for March, but as we move towards June, the chances of a 25 basis point cut increase.
