Aside from our regular dividend payers, we also use several option strategies to generate income while waiting for our swing trading stocks to set up. One of our strategies is selling covered calls against our positions when they are going up and buying them back when they are coming down. This week, we have added IIP to our sheet, which is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on industrial warehousing. We will take a quick look at IIPR, as it has been declining and caught our interest due to its potential as a dividend payer. We have also added IIPR to our dividend payers sheet, where it currently has a negative total return for the year. However, it does have a decent risk reward profile and is currently paying a quarterly dividend with a 10% nominal yield.

In this [ELF | e.l.f. Beauty Inc | Quick Take] video , we will begin by looking at a cosmetics company, ELF, which recently had disappointing earnings and poor guidance resulting in a significant decrease in their stock value. We will discuss the potential of selling puts on ELF, as well as some sympathy plays such as Estee Lauder and Cody. We have manually added data on Cody to our research sheet, and though it may not currently have an attractive ROIC, we will still analyze the stock. Looking at ELF, we can see that it has a high ROIC at a 65 strike with a 52-week high of over 6.5%.

Welcome to our [Option Strategies For Beginners With Examples | Episode #19 | Covered Calls #5] video episode of our [Option Strategies For Beginners With Examples] series of videos on option strategies for beginners. In this [Option Strategies For Beginners With Examples | Episode #19 | Covered Calls #5] video we will be sharing some enhancements that we have made to our Covered Calls Google Sheet. We have added a P&L column to give you a clear view of your current profit and loss for each position. We will be using some examples to demonstrate how this column can be used in your trading decisions.

We have also added a TakeProfitPrice column and a Profit column, which allows you to test out different take profit orders and see what your profit would be at a given price. This gives you the flexibility to analyze different scenarios and make informed decisions about whether to sell a covered call or take profit at a certain level.

But that’s not all, we have also added conditional formatting to the P&L column, so you can easily see if your position is currently in profit or not. Green indicates a positive P&L, while red indicates a negative one. This feature will help you quickly assess your positions and make timely decisions.

One of the main reasons for these enhancements is to compare different strategies on the same position. For example, if you have a position in Enphase (ENPH) and want to compare selling a covered call versus setting a stop and take profit orders.

We sell covered calls when the price is going up and buy them back when it’s coming down. We also have a covered calls Google sheet that we use to analyze potential covered call strategies. We have done a series of videos on how you can use our Google sheet to do “what if” analysis on your covered call strategies.

One of the enhancements we have made to our covered calls Google sheet is adding a stop and a stop profit column.

As beginners, it’s important to have multiple ways to make money trading. That’s why in this series, we’ll not only cover the basics of option trading but also discuss different strategies that can help generate income while waiting for our swing trade stocks to set up.

One of the strategies we use is the covered call strategy. By selling covered calls against our positions, we can generate our own dividends and enhance our existing positions. We use a covered calls Google sheet to analyze different covered call strategies and select the ones that best fit our goals.

To access this Google sheet and use it for your own what-if analysis on covered call strategies, you can join our Patreon. In this video, we’ll also take a look at a recent example with Enphase (ENPH), where we got assigned a put and then sold covered calls to generate our own “Dividends” on our position.

In our covered calls Google sheet, we have added a Delta column and a Last Updated column, which can help us make optimal decisions regarding the Strike Price and Expiration Date at which to Sell our Covered Calls.

I recently added a new company, MGA, to our sheet and we will be taking a closer look at it. MGA is a Canadian auto parts company that was identified by our options roic tool. We will also be discussing the potential trading opportunities for this stock based on its fundamentals and technical setup.

MGA currently has a 40 strike price and a current expiration date. You can access their profile through the links provided in the comments column. This company is optionable and pays a small dividend of 4%. Despite recent negative sentiment in the auto parts industry, MGA has a strong potential for upside with a low PE and a solid support level at 40.

In this [Selling Puts on LW | Lamb Weston | Quick Take] video , we will be focusing on LW (Lamb Weston Holdings) and analyzing its charts and profiles using FinViz. Accessing the charts for LW and other stocks is made easy through the FinViz URL in the comments column of our Puts ROIC Google sheet.

Lamb Weston Holdings is a consumer defensive company that specializes in packaged food, particularly frozen potato products like French fries. As we can see from the charts, the company has had some negative earnings reports and significant drops in the stock price. However, it is also a dividend payer with a low PE ratio and plenty of shares available.

The recent decline in net income and EPS can be attributed to the current trend towards healthier food options (GLP1). This trend may have caused an overreaction in the market, resulting in the big drops in the stock price. But looking at the longer-term trend, we can see that LW has a relatively stable bottom around the $50 mark. This is why we have chosen to add the $50 strike price to our research sheet and potentially sell puts to take advantage of the decline in LW.

Hello and welcome to BeachBum Trading! If you’re new to the world of stocks and options, you may have come across the term “At The Money” or ATM. In this short [What does it mean when a Stock Option is At The Money (ATM)?] video , we’ll break down what it means when a stock option is At The Money and why it’s an important concept to understand.

First, let’s define what an option is. An option is a contract that gives the buyer the right to buy or sell a stock at a specific price, known as the strike price, on or before a specific date. Now, when the strike price is the same as the current market price, the option is considered At The Money.

To help you understand this analogy, think of it like standing at a cash machine. You have the option to withdraw money at the same amount that you currently have in your account. Similarly, when an option is At The Money, it has the highest time value and the lowest intrinsic value. This means that it has the highest chance of reaching its strike price and making a profit.

However, it’s important to note that the stock price can go up or down, which means the option can become Out Of The Money or In The Money, depending on where the stock price moves.

Hello and welcome to our latest short [What does it mean when a Stock Option is Out of The Money (OTM)?] video where we will be discussing a common question around the stock market – [What does it mean when a stock option is out of the money?]

Options are a great way to potentially profit from the stock market without actually owning the underlying asset. But when an option is labeled as “out of the money” or OTM, it can be confusing for many investors. But fear not, in this video we will explain this concept in a simple and straightforward way.

First, let’s define what an option is. An option is a financial contract that gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specific price within a certain time frame.

So, what does it mean when an option is out of the money? Essentially, it means that the option’s strike price is not favorable to the current market price of the underlying asset. The strike price is the price at which the option can be exercised, and if the market price is not in line with this strike price, the option is considered out of the money.

In this short [LYFT | Lyft Inc | Quick Take] video , we’re going to be discussing the ride hailing company, Lyft. As many of you may know, Lyft is a strong competitor to Uber in the market. Recently, I came across the opportunity to potentially sell puts on Lyft with a strike price of $9 for the month of March. However, upon further analysis, I found that the current premiums for this option aren’t as attractive as we would like them to be. Even with the stock at a high of $52, the premiums are only at 25 cents. But fear not, as I’m sure most of you are already familiar with Lyft as a company. We may have even discussed it in the past, and in the future I may do a deeper dive into it. But for now, let’s take a look at why this option may not be the best choice for our portfolio. Welcome to our newest short [NKE | Nike, Inc | Quick Take] video on investing in Nike and understanding the potential impact of recent events on the company’s stock. As most of us are familiar with Nike, we know that they face a lot of pressure from China’s decrease in sales and potential headwinds due to tariffs. In response, we have added Nike at the 60 strike, which also showed up as a double bottom in Finviz on the 12th. Quickly analyzing the puts on Nike, we can see that at the current premium of 52, it is relatively low at 276, only giving us a 3.6% return. However, if we see a further decline in Nike, especially due to tariffs, we might see a spike in the premium, making it a more attractive investment. Keeping an eye on Nike and using the research sheet of our Puts ROIC Google sheet, we can track the stock’s performance and make informed investment decisions. Welcome to our latest short [What are LEAPs Stock Options?] video where we will be discussing LEAPs stock options. Have you ever heard of them? LEAPs, or Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities, are stock options with longer expiration dates, typically more than one year. In this video, we will explore how LEAPs work, their advantages, and the potential risks involved.

Let’s say you are interested in buying a LEAPs option for a certain company. With this type of option, you have the right to buy or sell a specific number of shares at a predetermined price, known as the strike price, within a certain timeframe. This longer timeframe gives you the advantage of more time for the stock to move in your favor without the pressure of a short-term option.

One of the major benefits of LEAPs is the lower premiums, meaning you can have a larger exposure to the stock with less money. However, it’s important to remember that with the longer timeframe, there is also a higher risk involved. As with any stock option, there is a potential to lose all of your investment if the stock moves against you.

In summary, LEAPs stock options can provide investors with longer timeframes and lower premiums, but they do come with higher risk.
