Make Money Trading this May
Welcome back to BeachBum Trading! This week, in this [Make Money Trading this May] video . we’ll be discussing the seasonality for May and how to make money trading during this time. We’ll be using an article from Investopedia to analyze the past 24 years and how May tends to perform in the market. As you can see, May has been positive, but not as strongly as April. This is partly due to the saying, “sell in May and go away,” which many people have come to expect. However, in the past, May has been negative in the long term since 1928.

In recent years, there has been a shift with June becoming more negative, possibly due to the after-effect of the “sell in May” trend. This year, with the increased popularity of this adage, we may see many people selling before the end of May, causing a downturn in the market. Additionally, the upcoming Fed decision and continued uncertainty with tariffs may also lead to volatility.

But don’t worry, there’s still money to be made in the market. If you’re a day trader or prefer short-term trading, there may be more opportunities for you during this time. However, we will continue to look for potential swing trading opportunities as well.

In this short [Watch Out for the Sell Before May and Go Away Crowd] video , I will explain why traders and fund managers may start selling before May and what to look out for. With talk that these groups may be ‘front running’, or selling before May, I wanted to give everyone a heads up on what to expect. In the last week before May, be aware of a potential sell-off, particularly in large corporate stocks like Microsoft or Google. As we move into May, there may be a lot of profits being taken as there isn’t much new money coming in, and that could push the indices down. I will provide advice on how to be prepared for this situation and how to make the most out of it.
