Welcome to BeachBum Trading, where we make money all year round, including the summertime. In this [Make Money Trading in the Summer] video 🎥, we will be discussing the summer months and how they tend to affect the stock market. We will be using data from a recent article on investing.com to analyze the trends in the market. As we look at the chart for the monthly trends, we can see that June has been a positive month in the past five and ten years, and even further back to 1950. July, on the other hand, has always been a good month, with recent trends showing even more positivity. We talked about catching the June bounce from May in our last video, and it looks like we can expect positive results in the summer months up through July. However, August has historically had a slight drop off, and September tends to be a bad month.

Looking at the historical data, we can see that the trend has been to go long through July and short into August and September. This is known as the "Summer Stock Market Doldrums," where trading volume is lower due to vacations and can lead to increased volatility.
