In this [ST Microelectronics | STM | Quick Take] video , we’re going to take a closer look at STM, a semiconductor company that has recently caught our attention. We’ll analyze its performance, dividend payout, and potential for swing trading. Let’s dive in!

STM, also known as ST Microelectronics, is a Netherlands-based semiconductor company paying a 20% dividend that has sparked our interest as a possible swing trade. Though it might not be the most enticing dividend payer, with only a .97 nominal yield and 8 cents in dividends, its 52-week low and attractive yield make it worth considering. Plus, with a dividend pay ratio of 4.46%, its performance may improve in the future.

Taking a quick look at the charts, it’s evident that STM has been trending downward, and just recently announced their earnings with a beat on EPS and a small miss on revenue. The company pays a 89 cents quarterly dividend, not the most impressive for a dividend payer, but it’s a solid 1%. As an added bonus, STM is also optionable, meaning it could offer more potential for price appreciation.

In today’s [IMOS | Chipmos Technologies | Quick Take] video , we’ll be discussing a potential investment opportunity in a Taiwanese Semiconductor Company called IMOS. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at this stock.

On October 17th, IMOS was identified as having a double bottom in the FinVizchart, which caught our attention. After some quick analysis, we were impressed with what we saw and added it to our database. So, we wanted to do a quick due diligence and share with you what we like about this company.

Firstly, let’s take a look at the FinViz and ChartMill links, which you can easily access on our homepage beachbumtrading.com. We find IMOS is a Taiwanese Semiconductor, being an ADR (American Depository Receipt). One thing we noticed is the double bottom at around $22, with the stock price making a decline over a period of time and currently below its near-term moving average. However, the most recent earnings report was positive and profitable, despite a slight miss in revenue. With a PE ratio of only 13, the stock seems to have a low PE.

Okay, in this [Nvidia Stock (NVDA) vs AMD Stock – which is the Best Semiconductor Stock to Buy Now?] video we’re going to be discussing the ongoing debate between AMD and Nvidia, sparked by a post in our Discord server by user @GeraldFitz. Gerald shared an interesting article about the two companies, saying that while Nvidia has been dominating the conversation lately, AMD is not far behind in terms of performance and potential for growth.

The article points out that Nvidia’s stock price is currently near all-time highs, while AMD’s is trading near its 200 EMA. In fact, Nvidia is currently 8% down from its all-time high, while AMD is down 33%, giving the latter more room to run in the long term. This sparked a discussion on our live stream and in the comments section about the potential of both companies in the short and long term.

Looking at AMD’s chart in finviz, we can see a decline from its previous all-time high, with the stock currently trading near support. The chart also shows a declining wedge pattern, indicating a potential for further decline in the near future. This could be attributed to AMD’s disappointing earnings, where they did beat EPS expectations but fell short on revenue. The main concern for investors seems to be the company’s expected profitability and their ability to catch up to Nvidia.
