The FOMC Interest Rate Decision | March 2025

In this [The FOMC Interest Rate Decision | March 2025] video , we will be discussing the FOMC interest rate decision for March of 2025. We will use tools such as the Fed rate monitoring tool and the CME fed watch tool to analyze the probabilities for a rate cut, rate hike, and other potential outcomes.

Links to these tools can be found in the notes or on our website, beachbumtrading.com. We also have several videos available on how to use these tools.

Currently, the Fed rate monitoring tool on investing.com is showing a 98% probability of no change for March of 2025, with a 2% chance of a 25 basis point cut. Despite this week’s lighter CPI and PPI data, the probabilities have remained steady, indicating that they were not greatly impacted by the jobless claims data.

Moving forward, the market is expecting a total of three cuts by the end of the year, with one in June, one in September, and possibly a third in December. The CME fed watch tool also shows a high probability of no change for March, but as we move towards June, the chances of a 25 basis point cut increase. We can also see the Dot Plot in the CME fed watch tool.

In this [The Federal Reserve Interest Rate Decision | December 2024] video , we will be discussing the market expectations for the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision for December 2024. To get a better understanding of these expectations, we will be using two important tools: the Fed rate monitoring tool and the CME watch tool, which you can find in the reference link section on our homepage at https://beachbmtrading.com/

We have previously covered how to use these tools in our other videos and you can find the links to those videos in the reference section as well. So let’s dive into these tools and see what the market thinks about the upcoming interest rate decision.

First off, let’s start with the Fed rate monitoring tool. As you can see, there is a countdown clock to the decision and currently there is a 99.6% chance that the Fed will cut the interest rate by 25 basis points. There is also a 0.4% chance that they will cut it by 50 basis points. This high probability of a rate cut shows that the market is expecting a cut and if we don’t get one, there could be a negative reaction in the market.

Top ETF to Short Bitcoin | SBIT | Quick Take

In this [Top ETF to Short Bitcoin | SBIT | Quick Take] video , we will be discussing alternative ways to trade Bitcoin, specifically through the use of the SBIT ETF. @TheKrow and @EZMike have mentioned this as a potential option for shorting Bitcoin, and we want to thank them for bringing it to our attention. While we already have a short option in our main ETF sheet with BITI, we wanted to take a closer look at SBIT.

You can find SBIT in our Research tab on our ETF’s Google sheet, and it currently has a risk-reward profile of 1.43 for the past 52 weeks. We have identified a potential support level at 1.31, making it an attractive short option. However, given its limited history, we would like to see more data on its performance.

SBIT is not optionable and does not pay out dividends, so it purely functions as a short on Bitcoin. We can compare this to our other long-term short option, Biti, which has a risk-reward profile of 1.03 for the past 52 weeks. SBIT does have some degree of leverage, but it’s too new to determine if it’s 2x or 3x short.

We’ll delve into the probability for a 25 versus 50 basis point cut, looking at the current predictions in both the Fed rate monitoring tool and the CME watch tool. The July Federal Reserve Interest Rate Decision

Welcome back to Beachbum Trading! In today’s [The July Federal Reserve Interest Rate Decision] video , we’ll be discussing the highly anticipated Federal interest rate decision for the month of July. We’ll dive into the Fed rate monitoring tool and the CM fed watch tool to see what the probabilities of a rate cut in July, September, and beyond might be. But before we get started, make sure to check out the links in the description for these tools, as well as our previous videos on how to use them to gauge the probability of various Fed interest rate decisions.

Once we have a clear picture of the probabilities, we’ll also address the question of how to prepare for the potential of a Fed rate cut and how to position ourselves to make money trading when it happens. We’ve discussed this topic earlier this year and you can find links to those videos in the description as well.

Looking at the Fed rate monitor tool, we can see a countdown clock for the upcoming interest rate decision and a high probability of no changes in July, with almost 94% chance of no cuts or raises. This aligns with our humble opinion that there won’t be any changes in July.
