Welcome back to BeachBum Trading! This week, in this [Make Money Trading this May] video . we’ll be discussing the seasonality for May and how to make money trading during this time. We’ll be using an article from Investopedia to analyze the past 24 years and how May tends to perform in the market. As you can see, May has been positive, but not as strongly as April. This is partly due to the saying, “sell in May and go away,” which many people have come to expect. However, in the past, May has been negative in the long term since 1928.

In recent years, there has been a shift with June becoming more negative, possibly due to the after-effect of the “sell in May” trend. This year, with the increased popularity of this adage, we may see many people selling before the end of May, causing a downturn in the market. Additionally, the upcoming Fed decision and continued uncertainty with tariffs may also lead to volatility.

But don’t worry, there’s still money to be made in the market. If you’re a day trader or prefer short-term trading, there may be more opportunities for you during this time. However, we will continue to look for potential swing trading opportunities as well.
