We have also added this ETF to our research sheet in our Google Sheets. We have received a recommendation for this ETF from volatility trading strategies and have done our own analysis on it. Despite its attractive nominal yield, the total return for this ETF is only 2%, with a high expense ratio of 1.4. However, it does have a decent support level and has the potential for some upside if the volatility declines.

ST Microelectronics | STM | Quick Take

In this [ST Microelectronics | STM | Quick Take] video , we’re going to take a closer look at STM, a semiconductor company that has recently caught our attention. We’ll analyze its performance, dividend payout, and potential for swing trading. Let’s dive in!

STM, also known as ST Microelectronics, is a Netherlands-based semiconductor company paying a 20% dividend that has sparked our interest as a possible swing trade. Though it might not be the most enticing dividend payer, with only a .97 nominal yield and 8 cents in dividends, its 52-week low and attractive yield make it worth considering. Plus, with a dividend pay ratio of 4.46%, its performance may improve in the future.

Taking a quick look at the charts, it’s evident that STM has been trending downward, and just recently announced their earnings with a beat on EPS and a small miss on revenue. The company pays a 89 cents quarterly dividend, not the most impressive for a dividend payer, but it’s a solid 1%. As an added bonus, STM is also optionable, meaning it could offer more potential for price appreciation.

Dividend Stocks with Positive Total Return

In this [Dividend Stocks with Positive Total Return] video , we will be discussing some recent enhancements that we have made to our Dividend Payers Google sheet. Specifically, we will be focusing on the addition of Total Return and the calculations for it. We will be showcasing how we are now using total return and asking for your thoughts on highlighting it with conditional formatting. Last week, we received a recommendation to use the FED interest rate, but we have decided to stick with our standard 5% yield for highlighting. This means that the total return percentage column will now be color-coded with green for values greater than or equal to 5, red for values less than 0, and white for values between 0 and 5. This has been very helpful in quickly identifying investments with an attractive total return compared to bonds. We also want to know if you would like us to continue highlighting the columns involved in the total return calculation.
