In this week’s [Is THD a Good ETF to use to Trade Thailand? | Quick Take] video , we will be discussing how to make money by trading ETFs. As always, we will be using our trusty ETFs Google sheet to identify potential ETFs for our long or short trade ideas, whether it’s on an index, commodity, or a specific theme. One ETF that caught our attention this week is THD, which focuses on investments in Thailand. We heard that there is a data center being built in Thailand, making it a potential beneficiary of global market movements and tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada. We have previously discussed other countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and now we are adding Thailand to our list of potential investment opportunities.

Looking at the ETF’s chart, we can see that it is currently at a relatively low point, making it an attractive long-term investment with a low expense ratio. It has had a strong upside in October, but it is currently on a downtrend. However, with the potential for a rebound and the added bonus of being shortable.

While we already have an unleveraged ETF option on copper, this leveraged option allows for those who prefer leverage or want to be nimble in their trades to take advantage.

QThis particular ETF is CPXR, a 2X leveraged long on copper. Its risk-to-reward profile is currently at 1.27, and as we will see, it is relatively new in the market. This CPXR ETF tracks the daily performance of the 2X leveraged copper index.

In this [EMXC | Best ETF to use to Trade Emerging Markets? | Quick Take] video , we will be discussing the Emerging Market X China ETF, also known as iShares MSCI Emerging Markets X China (EMXC). This ETF has been brought to our attention by @EZ Mike, and we’re excited to take a closer look at it. As you can see on our Google sheet, we have a variety of Emerging Markets ETFs listed, including EMXC.

Upon further analysis, we can see that EMXC is an Emerging Markets ETF that specifically excludes China. Its current risk-reward profile is quite attractive at 2.4 to 1.16 from support to resistance or a 52-week long-term hold. It is also not too far off its 52-week low, suggesting a potential dip in the price, making it an attractive buy.

If you look at the graph on your screen, you’ll see the price of a commodity over time. When the price decreases gradually, it’s called ‘contango’. But when the price drops rapidly, it’s called ‘backwardation’. This is represented by a flat or inverted line.

Now, why does this happen? Basically, it’s a result of high demand and low supply for a particular commodity. And it often occurs when the market predicts limited supply in the future.

For traders, backwardation can be seen as an opportunity to make a profit by buying the commodity at a lower price and selling it for a higher price later on. This makes backwardation an important concept to understand for those involved in the world of trading and investing.
